NAF AT AGRITECHNICA 2019

Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery, opened its doors once more this year in Hanover. International machine manufacturers use this annual event to showcase their latest products and track-proven technology. NAF also took this trade fair as an opportunity to present its wide range of products for agricultural use.

In addition to a directly driven steering axle, e.g. for use in crop protection sprayers or telehandlers, a directly driven steering axle with an adjustable track width was also on display which can be supplied with optional electronic attachments and a hydraulic motor. This version is mainly used in combine harvesters with four-wheel drive. With its very compact hydrostatic dual-motor gearbox (DualSync®), NAF was able to show visitors a gearbox that offers continuously variable travel up to the maximum speed range and can be used for a wide variety of applications.

For the first time this year NAF presented a complete drive train for agricultural harvesting machines, consisting of a bogie axle and a directly driven track-adjustable steering axle with flange-mounted hydraulic motor. This system attracted a great deal of interest from visitors, as the bogie axle in particular offers considerable advantages in comparison to conventional caterpillar drives. The NAF AG bogie axles, which have been successfully used for decades in harsh forestry conditions, also are also impressive in agricultural applications due to their low ground pressure, as the PBBS® (=Permanent Bogie Balancing System) distributes the load evenly over all wheels. The bogie axle has lower maintenance requirements with its completely encapsulated system design.
